The app, which was built using the low-code Estel Tech Anywhere development environment, uses data from the Google Maps and Flickr REST APIs and from the Kimonolabs API built around World Cup data. The developer did not need to hire a graphic designer, because design templates for Android and Apple look-and-feel are built into Estel Tech Anywhere. By using Adobe® PhoneGap™ Build integration that is built into Estel Tech Anywhere, the developer wrapped the finished app in Adobe® PhoneGap™ with a single click, allowing the app to immediately leverage native device hardware and be deployable via popular app stores. The entire process, from concept to prototype to production, including researching and understanding the APIs, took only three days. The app demonstrates the ability of Estel Tech Anywhere to easily and quickly consume REST APIs and display the results using the product's HTML5 templating within a list control.
